SOCMA Recognizes Company’s Commitment to Improving Environmental, Health, Safety & Security
FORT MILL – Nation Ford Chemical (NFC) is pleased to announce it has been recognized for exemplary efforts in improving its environmental, health, safety and security (EHS&S) by the Society of Chemical Manufacturers and Affiliates (SOCMA), the leading trade association representing specialty chemical manufacturers.
NFC participates in SOCMA’s ChemStewards® program, which encourages companies to operate their facilities in an environment that guarantees safety and environmental compliance to all stakeholders.
NFC accepted a Bronze Performance Improvement Award at SOCMA’s 95th Annual Dinner on December 5 in New York City. This is the 8th year NFC has received an award, including seven silver awards. Jay Dickson accepted the award on behalf of the company at the awards dinner.
Nation Ford Chemical was recognized for its successful efforts around EHS&S auditing and training. A new program was implemented to improve our internal EHS auditing system so that every key safety procedure is audited by a different member of management on a monthly basis. We have also implemented a policy to increase the number of mock safety drills providing employees more on the job response training.
